Description

Carlotta Capurro is an Early Stage Researcher in digital critical heritage studies at Utrecht University. She holds an MA in Art History and Artistic Heritage Management and a BA in Cultural Heritage Preservation. She has worked for several years in a digital technology company, providing digital restoration and 3D visualization models for interactive applications used by heritage institutions. She took part in several EU and locally funded projects focused on digital cultural heritage.

Currently, Carlotta is researching how European institutions are dealing with the digital turn and what it meant for them and for their visitors. Her research is part of CHEurope project (Critical Heritage Studies and the Future of Europe: Towards an integrated, interdisciplinary and transnational training model in cultural heritage research and management), a PhD training program supported by the European Union under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) – Innovative Training Networks (ITN).
